Do you know what Benign Neglect is (not was bc it is still being practiced today)?

"This was a policy proposed in 1969 by New York Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan, who was at the time on Nixon’s White House Staff as an urban affairs adviser. While serving in this capacity, he sent the President a memo suggesting, "The time may have come when the issue of race could benefit from a period of ‘benign neglect.’ The subject has been too much talked about. The forum has been too much taken over to hysterics, paranoids, and boodlers on all sides. We need a period in which Negro progress continues and racial rhetoric fades."

They shifted the focus and never put it back on Black people in this country. From Blacks to women, then immigrants and now gays….. Now today Black people are more concerned about everyone else’s struggle and upward mobility, as we continue to drop lower and lower.

We must shift our focus back on to us (Blacks) and let everyone else worry about themselves, bc they are not concerned about us…..

This is not hate talk, this is LOVE talk and if you can’t see that you are apart of the problem.
